Dearly beloved in Christ,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jeus Christ.
We have very triumphantly celebrated the Easter and the resurrection of our Lord
from dead. The risen Lord appeared to His disciples in many places. It
strengthened the disciples in faith. They were empowered to go all over the world
with the light of the gospel as witnesses of the risen Christ. The church is called to
be witnesses of the risen Christ. The divine spirit and energy that we have
acquired through the fifty days of fasting will give us strength for our subsequent
lives. The Lord's death on the cross brought the disciples and the community of
faith into severe pain and fear. The appearance and presence of Jesus Christ
instilled much courage in their life experiences, which were affected by the fear of
death and despair. Because of that, it was possible to testify to the Lord with
greater strength and strive for the Kingdom of God. The secret behind the new life
they received is that they were willing to pray together and remain in fellowship.
The message of peace given by yhe wounded hands is a message of peace
available to the whole world.
The scripture reminds us that the Lord walked together with the
disciples on their journey to Emmaus. "Walk together" means that the risen Lord
has become a part of their lives. The whole world is experiencing chaos and
unrest today. A man who has lost his peace takes a different approach to comfort.
But none of these often provide a permanent solution and the ultimate joy and
peace comes only from the Lord. A church and its people are Lord’s own
possession .It is seen that God moved and dwelt with the Israelites even before
the construction of the Jerusalem Temple. They could experience the presence of
God in the tabernacle during their entire journey through desert. Thus tabernacle
become the first church, in which people shared their worries and found
consolation.
Thank you for your cooperation in the ministry of the parish. Everyone
should strive to serve the parish more energetically. Remember each day is a
God’s gift to us. Accept the following principles for success in our personal and
social life.
TAKE GOD SERIOUSLY. TAKE OUR LIFE SERIOUSLY. TAKE OUR VISION
SERIOUSLY.

St.Thomas Mar Thoma Church, New York passed away in New York on
April 24th.
4. Mrs. Leelamma Mathews, 63 years old, sister of Mr. Alexander Jacob

Funeral was held on 24th April at St. Andrews Mar Thoma Church, Va-
dasserikkara.

of the Sinai area prayer group was taken to eternal rest on April 27th.
